What you are booking

Three clear prices

Guide prices for a healthy car. Send the registration and postcode and you get one firm figure before any work starts.

£179

Stage 1

Most daily cars

For a standard, healthy car that feels flat, changes gear too early, or uses more fuel than it should. More pull in normal driving. It can use less fuel if you do not keep your foot in it. Not a race tune, and no new parts.

  • The Stage 1 file for your exact vehicle
  • Your original file read and kept
  • A check that the car is healthy enough before anything is written
  • Loaded at your house, work or workshop
  • The first 10 miles
£239

Stage 1 + one option

The job most people book

Everything in the Stage 1, plus any one option from the list below, on the same visit.

  • You pick the option when you enquire
  • The car has to be able to take it
  • If it cannot, you pay £179 and nothing else
  • Pops and the oil-pressure fix are not included
£279

Stage 1 + two options

One visit, one price

Everything in the Stage 1, plus any two options from the list below. If the car can only take one, the price is £239.

  • Same visit, one figure
  • Confirmed against the registration before a file is ordered
  • Pops and the oil-pressure fix are extra

Stage 2

Modified cars

£400

More power only when the intake, exhaust or other supporting parts are already on the car. Confirmed per vehicle. This is not the first step for a standard daily car.

Stage 3 software

Software only

£700

The file is confirmed first. Fitting hardware is not included. A mechanic has to fit that. Quoted after we know the exact setup.

Options

One of these is included in the £239. Two are included in the £279. Added to a remap that is already booked, any further one is +£79. Booked on its own, it is £129, because that is a separate visit.

  • Start-stop off

The engine keeps switching off in traffic, or the battery and starter are taking a hammering.

  • Swirl flaps off

The flaps stick, throw a warning light, or can break and get pulled into the engine.

  • Speed limiter off

The van or car stops pulling because of a limiter, not because the engine has finished. Tell your insurer. A limiter the law requires on that vehicle is not removed.

  • Sport display

The extra gauges or sport readout the car should be able to show, switched on where the vehicle has them.

  • Exhaust flaps off

The flaps rattle, stick, or you want the exhaust note left in one position. Confirmed per car.

  • Throttle valve (TVA) off

The throttle valve on a diesel sticks, clogs with oil, or keeps bringing a warning light back.

  • Deep idle

The engine hunts or feels like it will stall at idle. A small idle change, not more power.

  • RPM limiter raised

Only where the engine build can take the extra revs. Refused on a standard daily car.

Priced separately

  • Pops, bangs and burbles

    £120

Petrol only, and the car needs a decat or a sports cat. This is on top of the remap. It is not one of the options inside £239 or £279.

  • Diesel hardcut and popcorn

    £120

The diesel version of an overrun sound. Same price, confirmed per car, and not included in the £239 or £279.

  • Oil-pressure fix, VAG 3.0 TDI

    £149

A repair for the known oil-pressure issue on that engine, not a power option. £149 on its own, or +£79 if you are already booked for a remap.

Warning lights, DPF and AdBlue

People ask about a DPF, EGR or AdBlue delete when the car has gone into limp mode, a warning light will not stay off, or a garage has quoted a large bill for a new part.

On a car used on the road, the fix is a regen, a repair or a replacement. Removing the DPF, EGR or AdBlue system makes the car illegal to drive on UK roads, and it will fail an MOT if that part was fitted from the factory. Solaris does not do that so a road car can keep being used.

Book a basic scan instead, from £60 on the pricing page, or a DPF regen at £80 where the filter can still be cleared. If it cannot, you get a straight answer before any money is spent on a file.

Workflow

How a mobile remap works

  1. 01

    Tell us the vehicle

Registration, postcode, and whether you want more pull, better economy, or both.

  2. 02

    Get one number

The job, any option the car can actually take, and travel if you are over 10 miles. Quote valid 7 days.

  3. 03

    We come to you

Home, workplace or workshop. Dealer-level kit on site. No dealer wait and no trailer.

  4. 04

    Read, map, verify

Original file saved, the new file written, then checked. You keep a record. Nothing is written if the car is not healthy enough.

  5. 05

    Aftercare

Why Solaris

Mobile convenience. Specialist process.

Quote first, then a booked slot. Stage 1 needs a signed consent form before work starts.

Mobile first

Priority coverage from Eastbourne and Coventry. Sussex, the Midlands and nearby. Wider UK by arrangement.

Suitability first

A Stage 1 will not fix a warning light, a blocked filter, a slipping clutch or an engine that is already unwell. If it is not fit to map, you are not charged for a file.

On-site appointment

Booked windows so you are not waiting all day. Evening and weekend extras are on the pricing page.

Trade files separate

Workshops that already have a read, and only need a file, use the dealer portal. Not this mobile visit.

FAQ

Remapping questions

How much is a remap?
Stage 1 is £179. Stage 1 plus one option is £239. Stage 1 plus two options is £279. Stage 2 is £400. Stage 3 software is £700. A further option on a visit already booked is +£79. The same option on its own is £129, because that is a separate visit. Pops, bangs, burbles or diesel popcorn are £120 on top. The VAG 3.0 TDI oil-pressure fix is £149, or +£79 if a remap is already booked. Travel may apply after 10 miles.
Which options can I add?
Start-stop, swirl flaps, speed limiter, sport display, exhaust flaps, throttle valve, deep idle, and a raised RPM limiter where the engine can take it. One is included in the £239. Two are included in the £279. Pops and the oil-pressure fix are priced separately.
What do I actually get for £179?
The Stage 1 file for that vehicle, your original file kept, a check that the car is healthy enough, and the file loaded at your house, work or workshop. The first 10 miles are included.
Will Stage 1 hurt my engine?
On a healthy vehicle it stays within sensible mechanical limits. We check the car first and will not map a fault away. You sign a consent form before anything is written.
Why do people ask about a DPF, EGR or AdBlue delete?
Usually because the car is in limp mode, a warning light will not stay off, or a dealer has quoted a large bill for a new part. On a car used on the road, the fix is a regen, a repair or a replacement. Removing those parts makes the car illegal to drive on UK roads and it will fail an MOT if they were fitted from the factory. Solaris does not remove them so a road car can keep being used.
Do you come to me?
Yes. Home, work or workshop. The first 10 miles are included. After that, the Midlands and South West are from £1 a mile (minimum £20). The South East is from £1.20 a mile (minimum £25).
How long does a visit take?
Usually 1 to 2 hours, depending on the vehicle and the options. You get a clearer window when it is booked.

Send the reg. Get one number.

Registration, postcode and whether you want the £179, the £239 or the £279. You get a single figure back.
